SUMMARY:Azarian Xcel Team Tryouts 2025
DESCRIPTION:What is the Xcel Program?\nThe USA Gymnastics Xcel program was developed as an alternative competitive program offering individual flexibility to coaches and gymnasts. The goal of Xcel is to provide gymnasts of varying abilities and commitment levels the opportunity for a rewarding gymnastics experience. The program allows a wide choice in skills to meet requirements so selection may be based on an individual athlete’s strengths.\n\nThe focus of the Xcel program is sportsmanship\, leadership\, teamwork\, and fun. The emphasis in the Xcel program is on correct technique\, form\, and performance.\n\nWhat does Azarian’s Xcel Program Look Like:\nWe currently have teams that cover 5 different levels of competition (Bronze\, Silver\, Gold\, Platinum and Diamond). Most of our teams train 9hrs per week (3 days\, 3 hours per day). We take part in approximately 5-6 meets a year from January to April which culminates in a State Championships at the end of season (Gold\, Platinum and Diamond will also compete in Regionals if they qualify). We do 1 travel meet a year.\n\nWhat gymnasts need for the tryout:\n\nAll gymnasts MUST BE PREBOOKED to try out. Walk ins on the day won’t be accepted.\nArrive 1:45pm\nCheck in with the coaches directly in the gym lobby to get a name tag\nWearing: Leotard (leggings or shorts are optional)\nHair: Tied back securely\nNo jewelry\nBring Water Bottle\nPlease bring try out fee of $25 cash (non-members is $30 cash)\n\nPlease direct all questions to the following email address:\nazarianxcelteam@gmail.com
