Programs for Boys & Girls of all Age and Ability Levels

Besides being one of the most exciting and fulfilling of all sports, gymnastics helps develop the whole child. Azarian Gymnastics professionally designed programs build and improve coordination, agility, strength, flexibility and balance that builds a foundation that can last a lifetime. Gymnastics encourages physical activity as part of every day life and promotes discipline, self-esteem, and self-confidence in a fun and creative environment.

Recreational programs teach boys and girls about the sport of gymnastics in a fun, non-competitive environment. In addition to learning fundamental skills in a progressive manner, children are also challenged to improve their general fitness and enhance over-all athletic skills. Recreational program includes Gymnastics, Trampoline, Tumbling and Cheer classes.

 Tiny Tumblers (Parent Participation)

Our Tiny Tumblers class lets the child explore and have fun with varieties of movements, running, jumping and swinging to develop coordination, balance, new motor skills and build self-confidence.

Specifically designed for ages 6 months to 18 months, each weekly class meets in our fully equipped Little Champions Gym. In the Main Gym, we have the pit, tumble track and double mini trampoline for our use.

 SuperTots (Parent Participation)

This program teaches fundamental movements during early development, introduces social skills such as sharing, taking turns, listening and developing friendships.

SuperTots 1 is the early childhood movement development for ages 18 months to 3 years old. Provides a safe, fun and creative environment that encourages your child’s motor development and learning through a variety of gymnastics equipment, songs, games and circuits.

SuperTots 2 is a transitional class designed for children who have moved beyond the SuperTots 1 level and are ready to participate in more structured learning atmosphere. An emphasis is placed on enhancing the child’s independence and socialization skills while introducing more challenging motor skills. Parent participation is still required at this level.

Little Champions (Ages 3 to 5)

We understand how important these formative years are. Our new preschool program has been designed to teach fun and exciting gymnastics skill progressions in a nurturing fashion.

AN OVERVIEW:

  • There are 8 different learning styles that are evident in preschoolers. Throughout the year each different style is to be addressed equally. (ex: linguistic, logical, visual/spatial,  kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intra personal, and naturalist)
  • The main skills are progressive throughout the year and the accessory skills are designed to catch up students who have not started at the beginning. Each lesson plan builds on the last to reach appropriate goals.
  • The program is goal oriented. There are new set and obtainable goals each month that the child will know. There is also a reward and recognition system.
  • There are new gymnastics skill themes every week as well as creative and educational themes every month/ week.
  • Each week the class/ skills are different from the previous week, yet the skills and developmental activities are connected and progressive.

 Adult Gymnastics

The Adult program offers everyone, from beginner to adult, the opportunity to experience the fun and fitness gymnastics has to offer.

 Tumbling

The Tumbling program offers recreational Tumbling – beginning through advanced. All of our Tumbling classes are coed. The sport of tumbling is for every child who loves to run, jump, and have fun! Physical benefits include speed, strength, balance and special awareness. But the real value is in the mental benefits such as confidence, discipline and attention to detail. Like any other sport tumbling is safe only when taught in a progressive manner by knowledgeable instructors in a safe environment.

 Trampoline

Our trampoline classes focus 100% on trampolining. If you just love the trampoline, this is the class for you, having one full hour of trampoline instruction and fun. For safety, we recommend that all children having access to backyard trampolines be registered in the trampoline class.

We offer Trampoline classes for preschool through intermediate recreational levels. All classes include an introduction to Trampoline & double-mini events, as well as the conditioning and flexibility that an aspiring trampolinist needs.

 Excel and Preteam Programs

We have a large team developmental program for athletes as young  as five who show a desire and talent for the sport. These boys and girls train in our outstanding Excel and Preteam programs to prepare for future team placement. Participation in Excel and Preteam programs is by invitation.

Boys and Girls Junior Olympic Competitive Teams
The AUSGTC Competitive program is recognized as one of the most respected programs in the nation. Directed by Eduard Azarian, former gymnastics World Champion & Olympic Gold Medal Winner, all competitive team members are trained by highly qualified professional staff. Our teams include National team members and have captured a number of State, Regional, and National titles.

We are also home to competitive teams for Boys and Girls Artistic Junior Olympic Level 4 through Elite. Unlike most facilities that are a high percentage of girls, the AUSGTC competitive program has an excellent balance of boys and girls. The AUSGTC Boys Gymnastics Team is the largest boys team in Southern California.
